Just Another Monday!

Have you ever had the best intentions to do something and just never do? That was me part of the weekend. Yes, I've had a migraine for the past 2 1/2 days, and I'm talking full blown yesterday, throwing up, dizzy spells, can't stand up for long. It was awful, if I had decent insurance I would have gone tot he minor med for a shot, but no such luck right now.

So, this morning I had a job shadowing interview and I really really need a job because I really need to buy myself some clothes for fall because bills really do need to be paid. SO I am hoping and praying that I get the job. Please pray I do for me.

So back to the weekend. I went to dinner with my Dad and nephew Saturday night while my Mother was out of town. I picked up my nephew and he asked me to call Papa and see if he'd take him to dinner. I told him I'd call but he had to ask and he had to get me an invite too. So he did and the 3 of us had a great dinner at McAlister's. Then yesterday, I finished laundry, cleaned, vacuumed, threw up a few times, took nausea medicine, yes all b/c I had a killer 2 and a half days of a migraine. If you don't have migraines, count your blessings and thank God, I'd do anything not to get them and them not to be so bad. I take a daily bp medicine as a preventative and while it helps, it's not a cure-all.

I went to see Final Destination 3-D Friday since I was off work. Note to self: this is your one and ONLY 3-D movie. (a 3-D movie for someone who has such bad migraines is probably not a smart idea and I'll never do it again!!!)

Today is Monday and since I went to a job interview/shadowing this morning, I am taking it easy and getting my run in this afternoon so that I can be lazy and sit on my butt watch The Bachelor Pad without any distractions tonight. B/c let's face it, I have my priorities in line.

Weekend Recap

I hope everyone had a great Mother's Day weekend!

I started out by spending the morning and afternoon with my Mom, we went to a luncheon at the Racquet Club then did a little shopping. After that I went to see Something Borrowed. I really enjoyed the movie and thought that it followed the book by Emily Griffith very well. Have you seen it? If not, go check it out. Very good movie. I hope that they make the a follow-up one to the follow-up book, Something Blue.

Sunday I spent the day with the family and then headed out side for some playtime with my nephews. They had a blast throwing water balls at me and each other. Such a blast. (pics will follow tomorrow.)

Boob Tube Bable

Sorry that I have to do this post in a hurry, been swamped today at work and missed it last week so i wanted to be sure I got in on this weeks. So here is a run down of some of what I watched this week. (Since in a hurry no pics :( makes me sad. maybe I can add later if I get free time at work.)

Started off the week on Sunday watching:

1. The Amazing Race- love, love, love this show. I so want to do it, anyone want to do it with me next year? Let's apply!!!

2. The Real House Wives of Orange County and The Real House Wives of New York- Yes, I love trash t.v. it makes me laugh and I need to laugh. They are all hilarious but I secretly love the not so nice Alexis on RHOC and Gretchen, love her. Slade not so much, but Gretchen YES!

3. The Voice- this was my first week to watch it and I really enjoyed it will definitely watch again next week.

4. Minute to Win it- I love this show too. I love competition shows, can you tell??

5. My Soaps- B&B, AMC, GH- I am so sad that AMC is coming to an end, I use to watch this all summer with my grandparents when I was little, I've always loved it and Erica!! How could you not love Susan Lucci??

Weekend Recap

I hope everyone had a great weekend!!!

Well, my weekend started out pretty crummy, as I had to work ALL day Saturday. Did I say ALL day, well I got there at 8:35 and didn't leave until 6:30 and man was I tired. It's great OT, but man sitting at your desk on a Saturday working on an Answer to a Complaint all day long is not my idea of a good/fun Saturday. Don't get me wrong, I'll enjoy the OT $$, but I sure would have liked to have been able to sleep in.

After I got done with spending my Saturday at work, I met the parents for dinner at Red Robin. I don't know about any of you, but I personally love there hamburgers. Yes, they may be a little pricey, but they're so big, they make 2 meals and are so yum. After meeting them for a quick bite, I was ready to head home and get in my bed. (which I missed spending a late Saturday morning in). I was in bed and asleep literally by 8:30 p.m., hey, a girls got to catch-up on her sleep. (Did I mention, Friday night I could NOT sleep for anything, I tossed and turned most of the night and had to be at work so early). So I was SO ready for some well needed zzzzz's.

Then, Sunday, we went and saw Eat, Pray, Love; did anyone else see it this weekend? Overall, it was a good movie, there were some parts that made me cry and others that made me laugh a little.

Week In Review & Weekend Plan's

Ok, so I have to say, I've made several big purchases in the last two weeks. One was this:

I love my computer, although, it is taking a little time to get use to 1. that it's not a Mac 2. that it's portable and smaller than I'm use to. Although, I have to say, that is one thing I am truly loving about it. I can go anywhere and take it with me. It's great!

So, this weekend my plans include, a wedding tomorrow evening and going to see this movie tomorrow afternoon. Can't wait to tell you what I think about this movie Monday.

Just Another Manic Monday!

Wow, it's Monday again, already? Although, I can't wait to see The Bachelorette season finale tonight, I can wait to be at work!!! I wish we had one more day to this weekend. I enjoyed doing pretty much nothing, although I did go to the movies this weekend. I saw Charlie St. Cloud. Anyone else seen it yet?

It was a sad movie, ladies, take some kleenexes with you. I did enjoy it but it was again, sad. The boy's came over and we had some fun this weekend, playing Wii, playing outside, and watching movies. I love my nephews and they have been great relief from the saddened heart break I've been feeling this last month after the end of what I thought was going to be my forever relationship after 4 years. Thanks to God and my family for helping me get through this tough time.
